About
AnnieG is a work in progress as are all little earthlings. Although the exact location of her place in the time space continuum is up for debate there are a few things that can be said about her. First off, she doesn’t know why she is writing this little "about page" with regard to herself in the third person. Nonetheless, AnnieG is sure she will come up with some logical explanation for this at a later date. Existential queries aside there are (as previously mentioned) a few things that can be said about AnnieG. She was born in Toronto 1979 and raised there until the age of 7 and a half when her family "moved on up" to the suburbs just 15 minutes driving distance but "worlds away" from where they used to live. Categorically " weird " AnnieG took to books, writing, poetry, music, and her sacred "movies" for shelter from the "world of mean people who just didn’t get her". Things pretty much stayed this way until grade 10 when AnnieG found the dramatic arts and was introduced to a world of people not exactly like her but like her enough not to feel alone in her weirdness. The best time of her (awkward) high school experience was the production of a one act play "Babes In Gangland" that she acted in, directed, produced, and sound-tracked. The production did very well in the high school’s Drama Fest competition and would prove to leave her with some life long friends and moreover some great memories of great people she will never forget. There is no doubt that AnnieG is a movie junkie. So much so that in 2002 she graduated from York University with a B.A. honours in Film & Video (her stream of study being Criticism, Theory, and History). In 2004 AnnieG would graduate from The Toronto Film School where she would study Digital Film and Television Production and where she would shoot a short documentary on miniDV and a short fiction film on 16mm. While studying she would also get involved in several student productions working as an A.D., Production Manager, and Producer. The experience proved to be emotionally satisfying, economically draining, and ultimately life enhancing. Currently AnnieG is: writing that kick ass novel that will change the lives of people or at least make a long lasting impression of sorts, she’s seriously giving internet resources a chance, trying to figure things out, loving where the movies are right now, loving where the movies will be tomorrow, working in the "real world" (while trying to figure out how to get the hell out of there for good). AnnieG’s working on making the dream the reality even though it’s hard for the lack of a better word. Everyday can be the best day of your life if that’s what you want it to be. AnnieG is also working on buying this line–figuratively speaking of course. Well that’s me Nice to meet you I’m AnnieG.
